Zoli's Caterham Academy 2012 - Championship All over - 6th place finish
Rockingham 2012
Fourth race, last event, and a good overall position
Final weekend of the championship....
Well it's all over, an absolutely fantastic year, which has left me wondering why i didnt do it 20 years ago....
Read about my Rockingham Race here, and have a look at the final table of the season where I finished in 6th place overall based on the results from the best 6 results out of the 7 events. What makes interesting reading is the fact that if you count the 7 events scores up, i actually would have finished 4th.
At the begining of the year i would have taken a top ten finish with both hands, to have finished 6th overall is a great acheivement, and one i am extremely happy with.
I would like to say a great thank you to everyone that i have raced with in Group 1, they have been fantastic competitors, allies and friends... i look forward to our next encounter.
Where to next I hear you say (or maybe that was "I dont care")???
Well we have an extra 2 races back at Donington on the 21st October, where I hope to get my last signature so that i can remove my novice cross and get my license upgraded to a National A license.
From there, I have been nominated as the team manager for a group of us "academites" racing at the Birkett 6 hour endurance race on 27th October at Silverstone. So watch this space, and i will update it with some videos and some comments on our experiences.
